Indian Elections 2

I am writing this as second part of my last post. I wish to tell the ground realities through this with my kind of experience.

I will omit the names as I do not seek to annoy any one.

On one of the election campaigns with a prominent leader in congress I came across a funny experience. We were at ACHALPUR a small town near Amraoti, Maharashtra. After the election campaign was over by 10 P.M. dinner was arranged at a prominent Congressman of that town. I was offered dinner at dining table being a delegate of the campaign leaders.

One of my senior (I am doctor as profession) was also there. He is now in the cabinet of Maharashtra council with state portfolio... He was sitting on the mat on the floor as there were limited sears on dining table. He being senior to me in college as a mark of respect to senior I too joined him on mat from the table.

Immediately there was a loud sound that:” XXXX you too are sitting with Mali” (this is the community in Maharashtra and my senior belonged to other). He immediately shifted his seat without taking me in consideration as I wanted to seat along with him than a table. But he did not hesitate and shifted his seat and was not at all bothered whether I was also needed to be with him. I was speechless with his action, By that time the table was fully occupied as most want to be near to prominent leader as much as possible. I was clueless what to do.

I was in two minds and wanted to go back to my original place at table. But there was no vacancy. I kept mum as a token of respect to my main leader and not to embarrass him. I went outside and thought of having dinner at my home which was 150 Kms from that place and as per schedule we were to reach by 1 A.M. But as I always say our leaders are not wrong but the system is at major fault was proved to be true. The main leader immediately found out that I was absent from the dinner and asked the host to arrange for an additional seat at the table.

Now any one will and must ask why should I write this nonsense issue? The whole episode exposes how in elections we forget our friends and as a mark to politics we want “ourselves” protected by aligning to the caste system in our country. This leader is state minister and me just a medical practitioner but loyal but I do command more respect than my colleague at so called “HIGH COMMAND”

We have rotten caste, creed, and religion and relentlessly all parties deny it. The parties or their leaders could not undo this mindset. But it is ironical that after so many years of freedom we have not come out of it. The nomination of candidate is not governed by his or her electoral merit but how he is loyal or what is the caste or religion equation of the PLACE he has in that constituency.

Varun Gandhi is summoned by election commissioner for expressing and acting against the law of the land. His party has dissociated him from their cadre. He will face the tune. But why can not any one go back and ask under RTI about the speeches given by all leaders at the time of demolition of Babri Masjid or Ram Janma Bhoomi. They have spoken more bitterly than Varun that time. But today he is the victim and supposed to prove himself.

I will quote experts form the book Autobiography of INDIRA NEHRU GANDHI. by KATHERINE FRANK. As per the book the marriage of Indiraji and FIROZE was solemnized by Nahruji with HINDU marriage practice. Bapuji was not there when the marriage took place. He was busy with the Cripp’s commission sent by Sir Winston Churchill. Till I read it I was as per the curricular expertise was having a knowledge that Bapuji was the father in law. But as per the book with existing colonial law the marriage was null an void.

After Rajeevji was borne there was lot of talk at the family that what should be his name. Does any one from Congress know what the recorded birth name of Late Shri Rajeevji was? As per the nook it was “RAJEEV RATNA BIRJEES NAHRU GANDHI” And as per the law of that time his religion was not recorded.

I am really confused. Why this book which has so many damaging remarks about Nehru family got unnoticed to all congressmen and was not banned?

I do not mean to disgrace the great soul and a true Indian and my Iconic leader Shri Rajeevji.

So to summarize we have deeply inherited caste system and it can not be undone for at least a century to come. Those who can read and write but criticize how wrong is politics and politicians do not vote and those who do not understand go by caste or religion equation.

How will congress justify the nomination of well educated, the most articulate Indian from Thiruanatpuram who has spend most of his life at abroad and has little knowledge about the true real India, it’s poverty and it’s illiteracy rate.

As always this post is not for defaming or disgracing any one. If done so I beg pardon.

Why can’t we curb the cast system? We just need strong political will and proper scientific education to eliminate cast discrimination.Another social reform movement is required to do so.
